God transcends all human conception,
so we use metaphor to convey spiritual truth.

The truth is the same among religions,
but the metaphor is different.

 Religion is like software for approaching spiritual truth.
Different tribes use different spiritual software.
Use any software you like,
but your local tradition may be most comfortable.

The important thing is:
Don’t mistake the metaphor for the meaning;
it leads to madness and violence.

Seek the truth behind the words.

The mystics of every religion
bathe in the radiance of the same spiritual truth,
while the lesser among them fight and kill for metaphors.

Salvation does not ride on the choice of metaphor;
it rides on getting the meaning behind the metaphor.
